OVERVIEW

The `Commission Nationale du Sport Féminin`(CNSF) which operates under the aegis of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, was set up in October 1992. Its main mission is to sensitize young girls and women about the benefits of a regular practice of a sport activity. CNSF also provides lot`s of activities all over the island in order to make people aware of their health

Board Statement

Our priority for the next coming years is to bring more opportunities for the practice of regular physical activities at the doorstep of Mauritian ladies; focusing on the physical, mental and social well-being that sport and physical activities bring.

We believe that educating and empowering, mothers and future mothers, is a good way to reach the future generations, thereby promoting good practices and healthy habits at home.

Through our CNSF regional committees around the island. CNSF would empower these committees in order to make physical activities more accessible to all ladies, even those living in remote areas of the island.

Furthermore, we are encouraging more and more girls and women to the learn to swim programme and also the advantage to make exercise in the water.

Our fervent wish is to contribute to the physical, mental and social well-being of the young girls and women of Mauritius by offering an array of activities which are appropriate to all levels of fitness and are easily accessible in all the 12 regions of Mauritius.
