First Edition Jeux des Jeunes Elites 2018

​FIRST EDITION JEUX DES JEUNES ELITES 2018     The 1st edition of the Jeux Des Jeunes Elites is organized for two categories, 14-15 and 16-17 years.  Eleven competitive sports disciplines of the games are: Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Boxing, Cycling, Football, Handball, Judo, Swimming, Table Tennis and Volleyball.   The finals for both categories are scheduled during the Easter holiday on the 04, 05 and 06 April 2018 whereas preliminary entry of 6294 participants out of which 4414 will participate at the finals. Third National Youth Games 2017

Third  National Youth Games 2017   The 3rd edition of the National Youth games comprises two categories, 14-15 and 16-17 years.  The 12 competitive sports on the programme of the games are Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Boxing, Cycling, Football, Handball, Judo, Swimming, Table Tennis, Tennis and Volleyball.  Weightlifting has been included as a demonstrative discipline at the request of the federation. Preliminaries will be held in early April during first week of Easter holiday and the finals for both categories on the 19 and 20 April 2017. Jeux des Jeunes Elites 2020

​The Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Sports and Recreation in collaboration with the Local Authorities will organise the 2020 Jeux des Jeunes Elites for youth of age categories, 14-15 and 16-17 years, in athletics, badminton, basketball, boxing, cycling, football, handball, judo, swimming, table tennis, volleyball and youth activities on 6, 7 and 8 April.  Yachting will be a demonstration sport.   The main objective of these games is to promote sports at regional level and detect young elite athletes.    4300 participants from 12 sports regions of Mauritius as well as Rodrigues and Outer Islands have been registered for the preliminaries out of which 1500 will participate in the finals ...
